Its slender design allows it to easily access narrow, hidden spaces, capturing microscopic details invisible to the naked eye and transforming them into stunning imagery. Combining a T8 large aperture, wide-angle zoom macro capabilities, and a design inspired by starship exploration, it redefines macro cinematography.

Unprecedented Vision with Probe Zoom

The X-tract 18-28mm T8 wide-angle probe zoom series redefines the possibilities of macro cinematography. Featuring a combination of 0, 90 and 360 degree lenses, it offers boundless creative flexibility and covers essential focal lengths for commercial filming, enabling effortless adjustments even in confined spaces while delivering enhanced spatial depth and dimensional detail.

Masterful Optical Balance for Immaculate Visuals

The X-tract 18-28mm T8 0-degree lens features 7 high-refractive-index (HRI) lenses and 6 extra-low-dispersion (ED) lenses, striking an optimal balance between size and weight while minimizing chromatic aberrations, distortions, and optical flaws common in probe lenses. Distortion is kept within plus or minus 2 percent across the entire zoom range, with near-zero distortion and focus breathing at 24mm.

More Dimensions, Greater Creativity

The combination of prism structure and 360-degree rotating ring offers an additional dimension for creative adjustments. The entire series features a smooth 300-degree focus throw, tested for high-frequency durability and micron-level assembly precision. The X-tract lenses feature a parfocal design, locking the focus during zooming, delivering the classic Hitchcock dolly zoom effect even in macro shooting. Note: images captured with the 90-degree lens require Mirror Flip.

Unmatched Performance Beyond Primes

The X-tract series features native breath control, reducing breathing effects to just 0.5 percent at 24mm. The X-tract 0-degree probe zoom maintains a relative illumination of 70.7 percent, while the 90-degree probe zoom offers 68.6 percent, ensuring consistent brightness and professional-grade visual performance.

360 Degree Periscope: Spin Into Future

The X-tract 360-degree probe lens unlocks three shooting modes: Front Mode (0 degrees) with a 30cm probe shaft moving in a 55cm arc for smooth vertical shots in tight spaces; Oblique Mode (0 to 180 degrees) with dual rotation rings for Dutch angles and horizon adjustments; and Rear Mode (180 degrees) with a foldable design and 360-degree rotation for dramatic barrel roll effects.

Ultra-Macro, Unlocking a New World

With a maximum magnification ratio of 2.1:1, the X-tract reveals the intricate textures of everyday objects. The minimum focusing distance is reduced from the traditional 56.3cm of probe lenses to 47.3cm, with a minimum working distance of just 6mm, allowing the lens to almost touch the subject for finer macro details.

Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, the lens is lightweight yet robust. A 25 micron anodized coating enhances hardness and corrosion protection. Tested from -30C to 70C, with IP57-rated dust and water resistance (waterproof to over 28cm), and a hydrophobic anti-fog front coating.

Cine-standard Crafts, Precise and Reliable

With a 28cm water immersion depth, dual-sided hydrophobic coated UV filter, and O-shaped clamp, the lens ensures stability and versatility. The native PL mount features rear elements that protrude just 1.37cm from the mounting flange, compatible with DZOFILM Octopus and most PL-E/RF/LPL adapters and Speedboosters.
